Sick in Sin City & a Pupdate

by Linda Eaves on March 3, 2010

In this video I catch you up on my trip to Vegas, our dog’s new name, and the bit of inspiration I got after landing back in Seattle.

What a trip to go to Las Vegas 130 pounds lighter. It was BUSY! I had my first roller coaster ride in 10 years. Thanks Rob for being my roller coaster partner – that was a lot of fun. Hope I didn’t scream your ear off.
Met up with many online friends and walked all over the strip – no cabs needed! Plus loved my room at the Aria in Vegas [am such a hotel room service loving girl..] and on Sunday I had a chance to get really familiar with it – along with a “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” TV marathon. I hope you enjoy the video.

Note to self – When traveling, don’t get cocky! Stay hydrated and plan your meals.

Wow your weight loss is amazing… you’re such an inspiration but I would be far too scared to have a gastric band! I wish I had your willpower… but I’m afraid I eat too much chocolate, peanut butter, cheese, peanuts, yummy cakes, chips, apple crumble and Cornish pasties… so it’s my own fault I am overweight!!!

xx

Sylvia – Thank you for writing. You’re over in the UK right? Always lovely to hear from you.
1st – I had a Roux N Y Gastric Bypass. I was originally going to get the band, but during the consultation my partner Chris and I decided that the RNY would be a better choice for me with my eating habits.
It’s not really an issue of willpower. I think there’s something deeper going on at a biological and mental level – at least for me. And Psst – I like a lot of those types of foods too and still eat them sometimes, but in moderation. Only my stomach was operated on, not my taste buds. I still enjoy food! My relationship with it has changed. Am more watchful and can’t eat anywhere near like I used to. For me that works! For someone else, it may not. That’s OK too.
