60,000 thoughts a day – Push that pause button.

by Linda Eaves on November 23, 2009

Here’s my latest video update.

As I go into the big holiday season I’m aware of a new thought process. Do you know your brain has over 60,000 thoughts a day? Many of these are the same ones day in and day out.

How about you? What do you think of every single day? How about in regards to your health? Are you thinking about your holiday shopping list, when to pick up the kids, or your 9AM meeting with a new client?

If you are juggling all these things while adding the new twist of taking care of yourself to the mix – well, how it’s going? Are things fitting in there smoothly? Or have you become complacent and gone back to the older more familiar habits and ways of being? Leave a comment and let me know.

When things are busy it’s easy to forget because it’s a whole different routine with a bunch more expectations and tasks added in to the mix. Maybe there’s lots of extra coordinating of work, family, your business, plus parties and events. This time of year it’s especially important to make time for you. Whether it’s a half hour walk, or just to take five minutes, putting the cell phone on silent to have a cup of tea. Trust me – everything will be there right where you left it.

When you take a little time to check in with yourself – being aware of where you’re at in the moment…you’re less likely to overeat out of anxiety, stress, or boredom. When you put it on pause, it gives you the gift of choice and puts things back into perspective.

I hope you have a great holiday season, however you celebrate. Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what’s going on with you. I love to get comments from you guys.

Nathalie, that poster is a gift from my bud Helen Herman. She knows I love SARK and she sent me a poster about living juicy – it arrived in my mailbox just recently. JUICY!!
Thanks for your suggestion / language tweak about “releasing” the weight. I really like it and find it easy to use. Plus, it’s true – it’s not lost weight, it’s intentionally releasing what no longer serves me. Moving towards being Healthy and HOT!
P.S. I need to send email about getting on your calender for another one-on-one session. Love the Nathalie boost!
