Dessert Dilemma & Stuff I like

by Linda Eaves on October 7, 2009

Today I have a little story for you, and I’m wondering if you can relate.

So here I am, post weight loss surgery – everything’s going fine in sort of a cruise control way. Then I look at the calendar…

Well…the holidays are approaching – starting with that wonderful candy laden extravaganza called Halloween. I just moved into a house and it’s in a neighborhood where I am predicting that there will be lots of Trick or Treaters. So cute right? Can’t wait to see ‘em. My plan is to pick up a bag or two of candy I don’t care for. Probably something black licorice flavored. By the way – do you have a Halloween plan if needed? Well consider this your friendly reminder to give it some thought before your doorbell starts to ring.

So, back to the dessert dilemma.

Yesterday I got my first December cookie exchange invitation. Yes, the friend who sent the invite is a bit of a plan ahead type. It’s cool though because I’m glad to have some time to consider my options. I do want to hang out but cookies kind of aren’t my thing anymore.

Luckily my friend Nathalie the Raw Foods Witch (love her in all her spooky fun-ness) came to the rescue. How did she know? Is it magic? Well, whatever it is – thank goodness because she’s offering a delicious free desserts ebook called, “28 Desserts You Can Eat Every Day“.

With Nathalie’s suggestions, I’ve been adding more raw food to my diet. I’m finding the raw sweet stuff is much easier on my pouch (no upset tummy) than a lot of the other choices out there. That’s probably because I know exactly what’s in these simple non processed food combos. So I’m excited to see what she’s come up with.

Before I give you the link though – a little housekeeping. The link is an Affiliate Link – which means if you click it and end up becoming a customer of Nathalie’s down the line (she has all kinds of useful free stuff and info) whether it’s tomorrow or many years from now….well – I’ll make some dough from it. Happy right?

Truth is, I’ve always liked to recommend things – so the affiliate stuff is a natural step for me – because I dig sharing valuable information with others. It’s how I roll.

I don’t share just any ol’ information either – the plan is to tell you about valuable, useful services from people I know, trust, have worked with – and not to mention like a whole bunch – who offer kick-ass and happy things to make your life easier.

So, you’re going to see me talking about these people I-like-a-whole-bunch and mentioning their services from time to time when I communicate with you. Honestly, I hope you don’t mind, because I love seeing you here and want you to stay… but if you do – maybe we should part ways now before there’s any feathers ruffled. Cool?

OK – so if you’re still with me -Here’s the link-y dessert goodness for YOU:

Even after weight loss surgery it’s OK to have a sweet tooth you know? Hope this helps solve any dessert dilemmas in your future.

Sending you lots of health and sweet treats!

~ Linda

Laura – Yes I love ‘em too. Nathalie’s got a recipe for a raw version of pumpkin pie that has peaked my curiosity.
